Rituals of Matter - Cocoa Husk Bowl

Rituals explores the transformation of cocoa husks - a by-product of chocolate production - into bio-based material and sculptural form. This carved, basin-like object references ancient vessels traditionally associated with ritual, preparation and containment: archetypal forms once hewn from stone or wood, here reborn in matter that carries the memory of the cacao harvest.

The piece is an exploration of material presence - weight, density, texture. Its surface keeps the husks visible, their deep tones and subtle aroma affirming the origin of the material rather than concealing it. An object that bridges the ancestral and the contemporary: a ritual form, made circular.
